Brit Mott
 Brit joined our staff in 2005 as a staff writer and brings her joie de vivre to our offices. Today, she is the webmaster and assistant editor and writes Author, Author, Upfront, The Front Row, and other features as assigned. She also compiles and updates FYI and writes and shoots photos for Web Exclusives. The Rockwall native is a former member of Leadership Frisco Class X and Leadership Plano Class XXV. She is also a member of the Frisco Arts Association. Brit interned at Texas Monthly before graduating in 2006 with her master's in journalism from the University of North Texas. She earned her bachelor's degree in mass communications from Texas State University, and for an honors thesis, she wrote and designed a magazine for college students called Aspire. When asked what the most rewarding part of her job is, she says, "The variety - I'm writing, editing, maintaining the Web site, researching historical events to put on the Calendar, and Mike has been generous to lend me his camera so that I can shoot photos!"
