Carol Schauer, Director of Development for Children’s Medical Center at Legacy, was ushered in by son Derek Schauer for a surprise. Major supporters of an MRI entertainment system, which helps children stay still while having an MRI, held a private reception to make the donation. It was also revealed that a quiet reflection area by The Story Tree will be named Carol’s Corner. “Grateful is not a big enough word,” she said warmly. “I am humbled.”
