Richardson Regional Medical Center celebrates milestone achievements
Hundreds of friends and colleagues of Richardson Regional Medical Center gathered on October 2 to celebrate two significant additions to their healthcare system. A new outpatient hospital provides a 24/7 emergency department staffed by board-certified physicians. In addition, the Richardson Regional Cancer Center, an affiliate of UT Southwestern Medical Center, now offers medical, surgical and radiation oncology, clinical research, patient education and support services in one location.
Ron Boring, president and CEO of Richardson Regional, said that completion of the $41 million project “clearly demonstrates our continuing commitment to high-quality service by bringing excellent physicians and new medical advancements in technology to North Texas communities.”
During the ceremonies, Richardson Mayor Steve Mitchell presented a proclamation to the CEO. Among the speakers was UT Southwestern Medical Center Executive Vice President Dr. Willis C. Maddrey. Richardson Hospital Authority Board Chair Dr. Susan Rogers wielded the scissors.
