Former Dallas Cowboy Roger Staubach dedicates JPII Track and Field
On Friday, September 26, Hall of Famer Roger Staubach visited John Paul II High School in Plano to dedicate the new track and field. The football field was built through donations by Mary and Rich Templeton, CEO of Texas Instruments; Dianne and Lee Maas, owner of Classic BMW, Plano; and Theresa and Michael Sinacola, vice president of Mario Sinacola & Sons Excavating.
Before Staubach flipped the coin for the opening kickoff between JPII and Trinity Christian Academy, he impressed attendees with a few passes with JPII quarterback John Templeton.
JPII is a co-ed college preparatory school serving more than 640 students in grades 9-12. This year’s senior class is the first to attend the school all four years.
