Bariatric Support Group is a free class led by licensed psychologist Dr. Martin Deschner that meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 7–8:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Plano in room 215. The class provides encouragement and support regarding the challenging diet and lifestyle changes needed by those who have had bariatric surgery. Breast Cancer Support Group–Custer Road UMC meets on the second Monday of the month at 11:30 a.m. at Custer Road United Methodist Church. Call Theresa at 972.618.0380.

Breast Cancer Support Group–Medical Center of Plano will meet on Mondays, August 2 & 16 from 4 p.m.–5:30 p.m. in Education Center 1 on the Garden Level of Baylor Plano. The group is designed to help breast cancer survivors understand nutrition, exercise, and recovery techniques such as journaling and art. A light dinner will be provided. Cancer Support Community North Texas, formerly Gilda's Club North Texas, provides a non-residential meeting place where individuals who have been newly diagnosed with cancer can gather with family and friends for support.
