Across the spectrum, from L.A. fun fashion to Parisian couture, blue assumes a prominent role in what will be a very exciting season. Substitute navy blue for black. Navy rompers replace last season’s black jumpsuits. Dresses with navy skirts and striped bodices take the stage for a bold look. For a classic visage, try a modified shirt-waist dress in a baby blue plaid. Sophisticates will appreciate an asymmetrical print strapless dress with an emphasis on teal; add a black shrug to pop the color. The all-occasion silk dress works in a dotted print that emphasizes blue; punch up the blue with matching eye shadow.
Remember that denim jeans were originally called blue jeans and they couldn’t be more in the mix for spring. Denim capris, walking shorts, and shorts are ubiquitous. Juxtapose tailored denim with feminine blouses. Printed voiles are great choices. If sheer, select a turquoise tank top as an underpinning. An amazing jeweled blue silk blouse works with jeans or skinny black pants.
Dress down with aqua terry cloth warm-ups and jumpsuits; they are comfortable as well as stylish. Tie-dyed tee shirts blend well; perhaps add white pants for a resort look. Bright blue warm-ups announce your presence; wear with confidence.
Blue delivers a fresh look this spring, right on time.
