Brit Mott

Pushing the boundaries of typical stringed music, Rockin Acoustic Circus fuses blues, bluegrass and rock ’n’ roll. The six-piece ensemble is comprised of veteran musician Rick Morton (who’s worked with artists such as Ricky Skaggs, George Strait and Kathy Mattea) and five teens: Sterling Abernathy on mandolin, Eric Dysart, on the fiddle, Carson Clemishire on banjo, Zac Hardin on bass, and Emma Hardin on cello. (Emma’s steady vocals balance the band’s sound.)

Don’t miss this high-energy concert on Friday, August 6 at 8 p.m. at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, located at 111 N. Tennessee St. in McKinney. Tickets are $10. Call 972.690.5029 or visit mckinneyperformingartscenter.com.

Rockin' Acoustic Circus' latest album “Lonestar Lullabye” will officially release Tuesday, August 24 but is available now for $15 at rockinacousticcircus.com.

Turn up your volume and hit Play  play triangle  on one of the selections.
